Ukrainian Woman Flees Carrying Her Elderly Dog 10 Miles Across The Border
The story of a Ukrainian lady who escaped the nation while carrying her elderly dog on her shoulders for more than 10 miles to cross the border has gone viral throughout the world, thanks to her compassion and fortitude in refusing to forsake her four-legged pet.
Alisa revealed her horrific trip with her family and pets in a first-person narrative to The Guardian newspaper.
Alissa expressed her thoughts as follows:
“We’ve lost a lot of stuff.” My father passed away. My spouse was waiting for me at the border. Because I’ve never been without him, my heart is crushed. He is the most important part of me, yet he is no longer with me. We don’t have any guys with us.”
Alisa works as a Python programmer for a German firm that assisted her in relocating her family and two pets, including her senior German Shepherd, to Poland. Despite this, due to his age and the mobilization order, her spouse was unable to cross the border.
According to the lady, there were a lot of automobiles near the Polish border, and she and her family couldn’t stay in the car for the next three or five days, so they opted to walk 10 kilometres in minus seven degrees.
Alissa expressed her thoughts as follows:
“My dog has shared all of our joys and sorrows with us.” All that’s left of his previous life is Mom’s dog. As a result, my husband used to carry our dog over his shoulders».
