In Her Garden, A Woman Makes A Cute Little Bed For Squirrels
Being a squirrel, let’s face it, must be taxing – all that leaping, scampering, and the never-ending quest for nuts.
The fluffy-tailed guests in Sharon Cutler’s garden, on the other hand, now have a new comfortable spot to rest their paws.
Cutler is an English landscape photographer. She constructed a little bed out of driftwood a while back to use as a prop in some photos of her daughter’s guinea pig.
She recently decided to re-create the bed, complete with miniature linens, and set it in her garden to see if any squirrels might enjoy it as well.
She soon got her answer.
Cutler stood there, camera in hand, as the little bed welcomed its first visitor: an inquisitive squirrel called Cyril.
It looked like the tiny boy was in need of a snooze. Cutler’s invention looked to be the ideal setting for it.
Cutler writes, “Cyril the squirrel was very exhausted following a busy day in the garden.” “So he said his prayers, stuffed his pillow, fluffed up his comforter, and crawled into bed.”
It was adorable.
