Boy Creates Custom Animal Paintings to Raise Resources for Shelter

Pavel Abramov, a 9-year-old child, has demonstrated to everyone that it is possible to help people in need regardless of age. He decided to put his creative abilities to good use by creating incredible paintings that he trades for food and supplies for animals at a local shelter.

Pavel resides in Arzamas, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia, and has been working on his project “Kind Paint Brush” with his mother Ekaterina Bolshakova for nearly a year.

Pavel came up with the concept after losing his dog ‘Barsik’ and realizing that it was time to stop disregarding the plight of homeless animals on the streets.

This isn’t the only way the young man has chosen to effect positive change; he and his mother have been co-running a Russian VK social networking site called “What is a little volunteer capable of?” that shows how a young person like him can make a difference in the world, in the hopes of inspiring others to do the same.

Pavel is undeniably gifted, and his drawings are inspired by the pets of those who seek his services.

The youngster bases his works on images of the pets and constantly inquires as to how they came to be a part of their family, as understanding their tales is a big joy in and of itself.
