Every Day, A Homeless Dog Sits In The Same Area, Waiting To Be Saved

Volunteers from the Howl of a Dog charity carried out a sterilization day in rural Romania, where they encountered a homeless dog in dire need of love and care, who waited for them in the same spot every day.

Every morning, he welcomed them with bright eyes and a happy wag of his tail. The dog they named ‘Remy’ had scars on his body from his terrible existence.

The animal was marked with a flaming iron in its nose, which is believed to boost the animal’s immune system and prevent distemper in Romanian rural regions; sadly, this superstitious practice is widespread in the region.

The dog was missing a huge portion of its ear, and no one in the hamlet knew how to respond to the volunteer when he inquired about what had happened to the sad animal, nor did he perceive any interest in assisting him in finding a home.

The shelter workers believe that the town’s lack of interest in the dog is due to the fact that dogs are perceived as labor tools in rural regions, and a pleasant dog like Remy is deemed worthless to them.

A grocery shop owner used to feed him and let him sleep outside her business, but she never saw any plans to give the adorable animal a home.

Remy, who had previously been taught to disregard the townsfolk, couldn’t contain his joy at getting attention from the volunteers who came to visit his community, so he was there every morning to meet them.

When the volunteers discovered Remy was alone, they decided to take him to the shelter with them. Remy was vaccinated, sterilized, and, most importantly, he received affection and care for the first time in his life.

Remy was placed up for adoption when he was retrieved. Howl of a Dog announced on Facebook that the dog has been adopted and is now living happily with his new family.
