A Former Russian Special Forces Man Is Passionate About Animal Rescue

Alexey Sedoy, a former Russian Special Forces officer, has been living alone for the past two years. The former soldier has been caring for juvenile moose on his farm in the Shakhovskoy area of the Moscow region, where he has his own little sanctuary in the heart of the forest. Despite the fact that he has moved on from his past, he has found himself in the midst of a new conflict: a battle against poachers who have already murdered five of the eleven newborn woodland elk.

Alexey was able to generate funds for the building of a security fence that surrounds part of the park in order to protect the region’s moose a bit better thanks to the public’s help.

Alexey is entirely committed to caring for and caring for a newborn moose no matter what day of the week it is, if it is a holiday, or even if it is bad weather. He is always looking for a chore to assist with, and he is always on the watch for the animal’s needs.

Alexey and his family now reside in a little house that is still under construction using the money he got in the past. He assures that he will finish the chambers (as he refers to the animal area) first, and then himself and his requirements.

The guy said in an interview with Nat Geo:

“Moose are Russia’s biggest artiodactyls. This is strength and power. In 2004, I visited Sumarokovo (a moose farm in the Kostroma area – Nika Samotskaya) for the first time, and I had a dream: to preserve the moose. With animals, everything is fair: they do not deceive you or betray you. If they love you, they will love you no matter what, and if they don’t like you, they will tell you right away.

These developing creatures must be fed every four hours, according to the former soldier, and without this care, the newborn moose has a slim chance of surviving. Alexey has taken his duty as mother, father, and guardian of the forest creatures with a lot of love and entire dedication.

Buran, the wolf cub who arrived with Alexey, had major stomach issues that needed particular attention.

Alexey explained:

“I’m thrilled Buran is youthful, powerful, gorgeous, cheerful, happy, smiling, and naughty now.”

Alexey is in charge of gathering a little more than 50 kg of branches for his moose, constantly striving to maintain enough food on hand to keep these creatures healthy.

He has also fed other farm animals throughout the years.

Alexey continued:

“In addition, I regularly feed the squirrels, a raccoon dog, two minks, two ferrets, a beaver, a wild boar, herons, and ducks in the summer… I’m not going to mention them all.”

Alexey’s effort is very inspirational, and we hope that he will inspire many others to care for and preserve animals. Many moose have got a second chance because to the refuge of this former soldier who found his purpose in protecting helpless creatures.
