At the Shelter, a Cat Waves at Visitors and Hopes That Someone Would Take Him Home

Mayhem, a gorgeous 2-year-old ginger tabby, arrived at Lollypop Farm, an animal welfare group in Fairport, New York, for the second time, searching for a home.

“Mayhem was abandoned by his owner and found his way to Lollypop Farm in early June. He was adopted, but tragically returned to the shelter when his new home proved to be unsuitable “Love Meow and Lollypop Farm collaborated on this project.

Mayhem’s apartment has been stocked with a variety of toys and entertaining activities to keep him happy while he waits for his ideal house. “He has his own little kitty colony, complete with cat toys, cardboard boxes, and towers to climb,” Lollypop Farm explained.

“Mayhem paws at the glass door leading into his toy-filled realm as staff members pass by, as if to beg, “Come in and play with me!” And don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.”

With such perseverance, this smart and persuasive tabby beckons his people. When he requests for their attention, the staff doesn’t have the heart to say no. Mayhem enjoys spending time with people and playing games in between sleeps.

“He has a lot of energy and needs a lot of stimulation to remain active,” Lollypop Farm told Love Meow. “He may not be the ideal sort of cat for everyone, but we know there is a cat lover out there seeking for a feisty cat just like him.”

Mayhem’s love language might be playing with his human buddies. To reassure him that he is loved, staff members take turns interacting and playing with him. The ginger guy repays the favor by delivering the most entertaining feline amusement possible.

Mayhem enjoys playing with cat toys, especially those on a wand with a string, according to Lollypop Farm.

The kitten isn’t afraid to ask for what he wants. All he wants is to play with someone. “In a family with dogs, he may perform well. During his time here, he has also showed playful curiosity in other cats “According to Lollypop Farm.

The rescue group is dedicated to finding the lovely kitten the forever loving home he so well deserves.

“The Lollypop Farm behavior and training staff has been working with Mayhem to encourage positive reinforcement training, and will be able to give his new family all kinds of advice on how to keep this active body happy and engaged.”
