A Homeless Rooster Wanders Into This Family’s Home And Chooses To Make Himself At Home

A homeless rooster uninvitedly invaded Chaz Sanders’s property as he and his family were enjoying the peace and serenity of their home. The family were perplexed by the visitation because there are no neighbors within 2 miles of their property.

The rooster, whom they named Ronnie, first tried to keep his distance from the family, but as the days went, he determined that this was his home and that he had no intention of leaving.

According to Chaz, who spoke to The Dodo,

“We opened the door for the dogs to come in and out one morning, and when we glanced up, he was there in the living room.”

This family had no intention of adopting a rooster, but they fell in love with Ronnie and believed he had come to their house for a reason. He is now a member of the family, and the bird appears to be extremely content there.

Chaz explains:

I fell in love with him right away. I grew up in a house with a lot of animals, but I never had any birds or chickens. He follows us around like a puppy and enjoys being the center of attention. He kept his distance at first and wouldn’t allow us touch him, but after we went into the home, he became hot and didn’t mind. He basically seized over and now does whatever he wants.

Addy and Merle, the home’s two dogs, were quick to welcome Ronnie as a part of the family.

The naughty rooster now peacefully roams the home, having pleasure in every corner. It’s often tough to get him to follow the rules of the home; you’d probably rather establish your own.

At home, it makes things more enjoyable. Chaz guarantees:

“[He’s] feisty, but a chicken can count on him. She is a diva who behaves like an adolescent. If he doesn’t get away with it, scream at him, and he’ll do what you tell him, but you’ll have to tell him several times.

Ronnie likes to hide in high areas where his family can’t find him; his favorite hiding spots are the chandelier and the ceiling fan. Although he acts like a dog at times, he knows he is a rooster at heart and likes waking up the family with his singing early in the morning.

The family researched the rules for this kind of pet and have now bought some chickens to keep Ronnie company. They had never had any experience with birds before, but the family says they are happy with their new additions.

Ronnie’s family has no idea how he ended up on their patio, but they can no longer imagine his life without his new and unique companion.
