A Photographer Captured Something So Rare, No One Will Probably See It Again

Wolves are known to live in packs, and bears are known to be solitary animals.

So when wildlife photographer, Lassi Rautiainen, discovered this unlikely friendship in the wild, he knew he found something truly special and magical. A lone female grey wolf living alongside a big male brown bear. A truly rare phenomenon.

Lassi states, “I think that perhaps they were both alone and they were young and a bit unsure of how to survive alone. It seems to me that they feel safe being together.”

No matter how such an unlikely friendship came to be, this is a truly beautiful and rare event that no one would expect to see.

Lassi observed the pair for ten days. He noticed the young bear and wolf meet often.

Not only did they hang out together….

But they also shared their meals.

This behavior is highly unusual in predators of different species.

But this pair ignored the laws of nature.

Others bears even welcomed the wolf into their pack.
